In 2023, Toyota maintained its status as the top-selling car brand in Ireland for the third consecutive year, solidifying its position as the go-to choice for Irish drivers. With a commanding market share of 13.57%, Toyota successfully sold 16,532 vehicles in Ireland, outperforming the nearest competitor by an impressive margin of 3,164 units.
Toyota's commitment to sustainable practices was evident as electrified models represented 92.8% of the brand's annual sales. Since discontinuing diesel production for mass-market passenger cars in 2018, Toyota has become a pioneer in providing a wide range of hybrid electric cars, meeting the rising demand for environmentally friendly, low-emission vehicles.
